The Hyundai Coupé Cabriolet Study (CCS) made its premiere at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show. Designed in cooperation with renowned convertible specialists, Karmann, it was based on the popular Coupé and featured the world’s first three-phase slide-and-fold roof. At the touch of a button, the Coupé’s glass roof could be opened part way as a sun-roof or opened totally to create a full convertible. While retaining nearly half the viable boot space when fully open, the roof could also be opened or closed at speeds under 50 km/h.
