  • Hyundai’s European sales, marketing and aftersales divisions in new headquarters building in Offenbach, Germany
  • Technical Center expands facility in Rüsselsheim

Offenbach, October 12, 2006 – With a Grand Opening Ceremony Hyundai Motor Europe (HME) today completed the relocation to its new headquarter building in Offenbach, Germany. More than 250 VIPs attended the ceremony, among others Korea’s Ambassador Lee, Hessian Ministry of Economics’ State Secretary Abeln and Offenbach’s Lord Mayor Schneider.

In his opening address to the audience, HMC Senior Vice President K.H. Ahn stressed that moving to Offenbach is a necessary step for further growth: “Moving Hyundai’s European sales, marketing and aftersales divisions to the new building is a consequence of our strategy roll-out in Europe. It results directly from the current strengthening of Hyundai’s European R&D operations and must be seen in the context of other developments, such as the construction of the European production plant and the building of Hyundai’s European brand promise ‘Quality, Self-Assured and Inspiring’. All this serves the purpose of turning Hyundai into one of the top brands in Europe.”

Hyundai invested 50 million Euros in the 5-story building that will be used by its European sales, marketing and aftersales divisions, and the property’s 16,300 m2 offer enough space to expand further the buildings, as Hyundai steadily improves its position in the European market.

The new address is:

          Hyundai Motor Europe GmbH
          Kaiserleipromenade 5
          D- 63067 Offenbach
          Germany

Meanwhile, Hyundai’s European R&D Center has taken over the former headquarters building in Rüsselsheim, which has been expanded by additional powertrain facilities and a new design studio.
