Hyundai scores best ever result in German garage service test
• ‘AutoBild’ mystery-test unveils failure-detection rate of service personnel • Hyundai with best result ever scored in the AutoBild test
Rüsselsheim, January 31, 2006 – When you take your car to inspection you would expect that it is checked thoroughly. German car magazine AutoBild regularly puts the service of automobile brands to the test. Their mystery shoppers prepare cars to show seven malfunctions and other deficiencies each and then bring them in for inspection to eight dealer garages of a single brand, which are randomly selected.
In the ongoing test-series Hyundai garages scored the best result any brand has ever had in the test. Only 10 of a total of 56 deficiencies were not identified by Hyundai service personnel, which are five deficiencies less than the previous record holder had identified 13 years ago. According to AutoBild, Hyundai dealers are satisfied with their relationship to the Hyundai brand and the German distributor, and this is viewed as a main reason for delivering excellent service.
