Hyundai Announces Four Major R&D Appointments
- Kim Sang-Kwon promoted to Vice Chairman of R&D
- Dr Lee Hyun-Soon to President of R&D
- Park Song-Hyun to Sr EVP of Powertrain
- Kim Yong-Woo to Sr EVP of Pilot Center
(Seoul, Korea) Hyundai Motor Co. today announced the promotion of four key R&D executives to strengthen the engineering organization and Hyundai’s reputation as an engineering-driven company.
Kim Sang-Kwon, 59, head of engineering, assumes the new title of Vice Chairman with responsibilities for all research and development as well as the pilot manufacturing center at Namyang.
Former head of powertrain Dr. Lee Hyun-Soon, 54, succeeds Kim Sang-Kwon as president of R&D Operations.
Replacing Dr. Lee as the new head of powertrain R&D is Park Sung-Hyun, 52, who has been promoted to Senior Executive Vice President.
Kim Yong-Woo, 52, former Executive Vice President of the North American Quality Assurance Division, was promoted to Senior Executive Vice President with responsibility for the pilot manufacturing center. |
