Hyundai Sales Up 7% in March
- First quarter sales up by 5 percent against last year
- Sales results show a balanced model mix
Rüsselsheim, April 4, 2005 -- Hyundai Motor Europe GmbH announced March sales of 39,026 vehicles. In the three month period from January to March 2005, Hyundai sales in Europe rose to 89,790 units, up by 5 percent compared to last year.
Ike Oh, newly appointed President of Hyundai Motor Europe GmbH said: ”The European new car market is tougher than ever before and relentlessly punishes inattentiveness. Hyundai is carefully paying attention to all aspects of the business and we can see our success in the first quarter continuing. I am sure we are on the right track as the coming months will prove.”
Hyundai’s the SUV models turned out to be especially popular in Europe, with sales up by 26 percent against the same quarter last year.
